Featuring our patented CORE3 laptop protection, the Velocity SPYDER laptop backpack utilizes three layers to provide unparalleled protection. The outer-most layer is a molded rubber EXO-skeleton that protects from bumps while also keeping the structural integrity of the bag. The bag itself, or middle layer, is made of water repellent/tear resistant 1680-D ballistic nylon. Finally, the inner layer is made of an ultra-thick, shock padding compartment sized for up to a 17" laptop. I now own a velocity Spyder. So far its Great! I am packing a Asus G73 as well as a ebook, mouse, headphones etc. Still have room for more.

I bought this as i wanted something really protective for my Macbook, so when this arrived i was instantly put off by the size (its huge) and weight of it (its really heavy empty!) Im only 5 foot 1 and it looks ridiculous on me and was far to heavy and uneconomical for me to use. Slappa have a no refund policy and its so expensive so be careful!! Worse is that Slappa do not advertise the size dimensions os this!! Aside from that the quality is super and very durable so im sure if i was a 6 foot musclebound man i would love it.

Bought one of these (in black) last year and after a while the shoulder strap frayed and split, showing the interior material. I hadn't realised how much time had gone by but it was out of the warranty period. I e-mailed Slappa (Total Impact in the UK) to explain and see if anything could be done. I got a prompt reply saying just to send the backpack in for replacement. I have just received the replacement backpack. It's great to see a company with a common sense approach when things go wrong and completely exceeded my expectations. Needless to say I will happily recommend Slappa.
Apart from the one defect, the backpack has been great for all my college stuff including books, files and my laptop. Lots of different storage options for things like cables, USB sticks, power supply, discs etc. While the bag was being replaced I had to use a traditional laptop bag for a few days and I really missed this backpack!
The five stars are for both the backpack (great pack) and the excellent customer care. Thanks again Slappa.
